Your PC supports two different graphics technologies called DirectX and OpenGL that are responsible for the visual experience you enjoy . Some games play significantly better with OpenGL, whereas some others play well with DirectX. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict a priori, which particular technology will suit your game the best. For this reason, we are exposing a switch that lets you select the graphics technology that is most compatible with your game.
If you are experiencing issues like game crash, screen flickering or other graphic artifacts like black screen, distorted graphics, patches, white screen etc. for the game you are playing, please switch the Graphics Mode and see if this helps.
You may change the graphics mode through the engine settings using the following steps:
- Click on Drop Down icon on the right hand upper corner, then click on ‘Engine Settings’ as shown below:
- Here you will get graphic modes in engine settings, click on your preferred graphic mode and click on ‘Restart Engine’ button as shown below:
After restarting BlueStacks 3 will restart in your preferred graphic mode.
Note: If you are using version above 220.127.116.114 use this link to change graphics mode.
