How to get better Performance in BlueStacks by enabling Virtualization (VT)

Virtualization needs to be enabled in BIOS for better performance

Virtualization technology could improve the performance of your computer and allow BlueStacks App Player to run more smoothly and faster.

1. Does your computer support Virtualization (VT-x, AMD-v, Virtual Technology)?

a) If your processor is made by Intel, use this free utility to see the results. See b) for AMD processors

  • Once the utility is installed in Windows 7 or 8 computer, you can use and identify the status as shown below.

b) To check the status of AMD-V, AMD users can download AMD V detection Utility

2. If Virtualization is supported, but disabled in BIOS please follow the steps for enabling.

Enabled in PC BIOS.

  1. Turn OFF then turn ON the System while repeatedly press Esc key at startup.
  2. Press the F10 key for BIOS Setup.(Follow the instruction on the screen)
  3. Press the right arrow key to System Configuration tab, Select Virtualization Technology and then press the Enter key. (Many of the steps below may vary depending on your motherboard, processor type, chipset and OEM. Refer to your system's accompanying documentation for the correct information on configuring your system.

  1. Select Enabled and press the Enter key.
  2. Press the F10 key and select Yes and press the Enter key to save changes and Reboot.

Please follow the appropriate link to enable 'Virtualization Technology' in specified systems,

Lenovo

Dell

  • Turn ON the System.
  • Press F2 key at startup BIOS Setup.
  • Press the right arrow key to Advanced tab, Select Virtualization and then press the Enter key.
  • Select Enabled and press the Enter key.
  • Press the F10 key and select Yes and press the Enter key to save changes and Reboot into Windows.

HP

  • Turn ON the System
  • Repeatedly press Esc key at startup.
  • Press the F10 key for BIOS Setup.
  • Press the right arrow key to System Configuration tab, Select Virtualization Technology and then press the Enter key.
  • Select Enabled and press the Enter key.
  • Press the F10 key and select Yes and press the Enter key to save changes and Reboot.

Asus

  • Turn ON the System.
  • Press F2 key at startup BIOS Setup.
  • Press the right arrow key to Advanced tab, Select Virtualization Technology and then press the Enter key.
  • Select Enabled and press the Enter key.
  • Press the F10 key and select Yes and press the Enter key to save changes and Reboot into Windows.

Acer

  • Turn ON the System.
  • Press F2 key at startup BIOS Setup.
  • Press the right arrow key to System Configuration tab, Select Virtualization Technology and then press the Enter key.
  • Select Enabled and press the Enter key.
  • Press the F10 key and select Yes and press the Enter key to save changes and Reboot into Windows. 

3. Please uninstall and re-install BlueStacks for the changes to take effect.
