There is an issue while streaming videos on the latest version of Showbox. The updated Showbox version either tries to play videos in Lime Player(which doesn't work) or any other video player that is available.

Step 1: Uninstall the currently installed Showbox app from your BlueStacks with the help of this article.
Step 2: Install it back by searching 'Show Box' in the BlueStacks Search Bar. This will redirect you to the searches of our BlueStacks app store, please install it from there.
Step 3: Launch Showbox. It will always ask you to update the app. please DO NOT UPDATE the application if it asks for an update. Click on 'Remind me Later' every time it asks. With this version of Showbox, you download from BlueStacks Appcenter, video runs smoothly without asking for any other video player.
Step 4: Browse to your favorite Movies or TV-Shows, Click on it. A pop-up will open. Click on Watch Now. It will start playing in the default internal VLC player in Showbox.
Step 4: If you wish to play video in a different player like MX-Player, make sure you already have downloaded & installed MX-Player in BlueStacks. First, click on the Menu of Showbox and go to 'Settings'
Step 5: In the 'Default player', you can select 'Other Player'
When you click on 'WATCH NOW', it will automatically redirect you to MX-Player and will start playing your video.
NOTICE: It is suggested NOT TO UPDATE Showbox until further notice. The current version of Showbox from BlueStacks App Center lets you get the best online movie & video watching experience.
If you wish to continue to use the latest version of Showbox, then only the downloading option is available. Make sure you have a video player like MX-Player already installed in BlueStacks.
To watch your downloaded videos, go to 'Media Manager' from BlueStack Dock -> Gallery -> Open 'Show_box' folder -> Click on the video file and play it on MX-Player.
