What is FPS and how is it useful?
FPS represents how many frames (images) your monitor is displaying each second. The higher the FPS, the smoother and more responsive the game will seem. BlueStacks lets to set the FPS as per your preference.
How can I set the FPS on BlueStacks?
To set a custom FPS, please click on the gear icon on the side toolbar.
On the 'Settings' page, click on the Engine tab.
Scroll down on the 'Engine' settings page and find the Frame rate section. The slider adjacent to FPS will let you set a custom FPS as desired. The changes will be applied on relaunching BlueStacks.
This section also gives you the following options:
- Enable high frame rates: Activates frame rates higher than 60 for games that support the same.
- Enable VSync: Synchronizes your in-game FPS to your monitor's refresh rate to avoid screen tearing. Read this article to know more about VSync.
- Display FPS during gameplay: Displays real-time FPS at the bottom of your screen while playing games.
