How to play Minecraft with your gamepad on BlueStacks 4

Why should I play Minecraft with my gamepad?

Minecraft is a game that needs no introduction. It has defined PC gaming for over a decade and has already carved out a special place for itself in the Android gaming community.

With Minecraft providing native gamepad support, i.e you will not have to set up any controls, playing with your gamepad is easier and more refined than ever. Comfort matters.

How do I play with my gamepad?

NOTE: For this, you will have to enable "Native gamepad support" in BlueStacks settings. This will allow you to use the inbuilt gamepad controls in Minecraft. Click on the link above to know more.

1) Before connecting your gamepad, please make sure both of the settings shown below are enabled. You can find these in BlueStacks settings. For a more in-depth guide on how to enable this, please click on the link above.

2) Connect your gamepad/controller. XBOX controllers can be connected through either Bluetooth or USB but please connect your PS4 controller through USB only. After connecting, you will see a confirmation, as shown below.

The controls for specific actions will then appear on the right-hand side under "Controller Settings". To view all the controls, scroll down using the left-stick on your gamepad.

You can also edit the controls as per your preference. After scrolling to the specific control which you would like to edit, press "X" if you're using a PS4 controller, or "A" if you're using an XBOX controller.
