Solution for missing top bar or Side Toolbar while streaming on BlueStacks 5

How will this help?

If you cannot see the top bar and side toolbar while streaming BlueStacks 5 using Windows Capture in OBS or Streamlabs OBS, the steps in this article will guide you on how to resolve this.

To resolve this, you have to change your "Interface renderer" in BlueStacks 5 settings. For more details, please refer to the steps below.


How can I resolve this?

1. Depending on whether the top bar or the Side Toolbar is missing, you can access BlueStacks settings in 2 different ways. 

  • Access BlueStacks settings through the hamburger menu on the top bar
  • Access BlueStacks settings through the gear icon on the Side Toolbar

In the instance that both the side toolbar and top bar are missing, please refer to the following steps below.

a) Launch Multi-Instance Manager from the desktop.

b) Next, click on the gear icon as shown below.

You will then be able to access BlueStacks settings.

2. Now, in BlueStacks settings, click on the "Graphics" tab.

3. Next, click on the drop-down menu under Interface renderer.

4. Select a different option than the one applied before.

5. Click on "Save changes".

6. To apply the changes, a restart is required. Click on "Restart now".

NOTE: If the issue is not resolved on the first try, please select a different setting from the drop-down menu of Interface renderer in step 4. Be sure to try out all the different settings available.
