How to get more internal storage on BlueStacks 5

Why do I need more internal storage?

With BlueStacks version 5.13 and above, you can now get 128 GB of internal storage allowing you to:

• Install more apps without having to delete any older ones if your storage gets full
• Keep more media files from social media apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc.

Important information

• If you update BlueStacks from an older version, please create a new instance to get 128 GB of storage. Any instances from your older version will still show 64 GB. 
• You can get 128 GB of storage on all instances (including your Master instance) only after a fresh installation of BlueStacks 5.

How can I get more storage?

If you don't have BlueStacks 5 installed, you can simply download the latest version of BlueStacks 5 from our official website and get 128 GB of storage. 

However, if you already have BlueStacks 5 installed, you can either:

• Update BlueStacks and create a new instance to get 128 GB of storage on a specific instance
• Perform a fresh installation to get 128 GB of storage on all instances

Updating BlueStacks 5 to the latest version

To get 128 GB of storage, you need to update to the latest version of BlueStacks 5 and create a new instance which will then contain 128 GB of storage space

NOTE: Your default instance will still have 64 GB of storage. Only new instances will have 128 GB of storage.

Performing a fresh installation of BlueStacks 5

1. To perform a fresh installation, you will first need to completely uninstall BlueStacks 5. Please refer to this article for detailed steps on how to do this.

2. Download and install the latest version of BlueStacks 5 from our official website.

Once BlueStacks 5 has been installed, all of your instances will have 128 GB of storage, as shown below.
