What are AI Highlights?
You can now use AI Highlights on BlueStacks 5 to generate curated highlight videos, giving you a personalized portfolio of your best in-game moments. You can choose between two highlight types based on your preference:
- Snapshot: A lightweight, quick summary of your gameplay.
- Video: Great for an immersive experience and sharing high-quality clips.
Whether you want to relive epic wins, save memorable plays, or share standout moments with friends, AI Highlights captures it all automatically, without you lifting a finger.
How can I create an AI Highlight?
1. Click on Screen recording on the side toolbar and go to the AI Highlights section. Click on the toggle to switch between Snapshot and Video, based on your preference.
2. Go to Media Gallery > AI Highlights > Recent Activity. Here, you’ll see thumbnails of automatically captured gameplay moments from the past few days.
3. Browse the list of recent gameplay thumbnails and hover over the gameplay thumbnail you’d like to use to generate your highlight. Click Create Highlight.
NOTE: BlueStacks will prepare your highlight. This may take a few minutes, depending on the video length.
4. Once it is ready, go to the AI Highlights tab, and your highlight video will appear under the Highlights sub-tab. Click Play to view it in your system browser.
How can I switch off AI Highlights?
You can disable it at any time by following the steps below.
- Open BlueStacks Settings
- Go to Preferences
- Toggle Enable AI Highlights Off
- Click Save changes

Q. Why isn’t AI Highlights showing up for my game?
A: AI highlights are available only for supported games.
Q. How can I rename a highlight?
A. To rename a highlight, click the three dots > Rename.
Q. How can I delete a highlight video?
A. To delete a highlight, click the three dots > Delete.
Q. If I delete a highlight, will the original video remain?
A. No. Deleting a highlight also deletes its source gameplay video.
Q. Can I create more than one highlight at a time?
A. No. Only one highlight can be processed at a time. If you try generating another, you’ll see an error message stating “A highlight is already being created. Please wait for it to finish.”
Q. Why am I not able to create a highlight?
A. Possible reasons:
- If servers are overloaded, you will get an error message stating “Servers are busy. Try tomorrow.”
- If the video is less than 45 seconds, a highlight cannot be created.
