How to import or export game controls on BlueStacks 5

How can this help?

Game controls play a crucial part in mastering your gameplay and by using the Controls Editor on BlueStacks 5, you can now import or export game controls for your favorite games. 

By importing game controls, you can:

  • Access game controls used by your favorite streamers or friends
  • Gain a competitive advantage with controls tailored to your playstyle
  • Save valuable time and effort that would otherwise be spent in crafting your perfect control scheme

By exporting game controls, you can:

  • Share your carefully crafted game controls with your friends
  • Collaborate with the community (Hint: You can join our Discord Server to share your game controls)
  • Create a backup of your game controls

How can I import game controls?

1. Launch the game for which you'd like to import custom game controls and click on the keyboard icon on the Side toolbar to open the Game Controls menu, as shown below.

2. Within the Game Controls menu, select "Controls Editor".

3. Within the Controls Editor, click on the "Import" icon, as shown below.

4. A file explorer window will then appear from where you can select the game controls you would like to import. Select the relevant game controls and click on "Import"

NOTE: You can only import files that are in a .cfg format.

5. A pop-up will then appear from where you can select the control schemes to be imported. Once selected, click on "Import".

6. Once the game controls have been imported, you can find them within the drop-down menu below "Control Scheme", as shown below.

How can I export game controls?

1. Launch the game for which you'd like to export custom game controls and click on the keyboard icon on the Side toolbar to open the Game Controls menu, as shown below.

2. Within the Game Controls menu, select "Controls Editor".

3. Within the Controls Editor, click on the "Export" icon, as shown below.

4. Select the game controls and click on "Export".

5. A file explorer window will then appear from where you can select the location to which the file will be saved and rename the file if you wish. Once done, click on "Save".

The .cfg file will then be saved to your desktop/laptop and you can share it with your friends or the community with ease!
