How to clear app cache on BlueStacks 5

Why should I clear an app's cache?

App cache stores temporary files that help apps load faster. Over time, these files can become outdated or corrupted, leading to issues such as:

  • App crashes or freezes
  • Slow app performance
  • Problems downloading or updating apps
  • Unexpected app behavior

Note: Clearing an app's cache removes these temporary files without deleting your app data, helping resolve many common app-related issues.

How do I clear an app's cache?

  • Launch BlueStacks 5 and open the System apps folder.
  • Click on Settings and select Apps.
  • From the list of installed apps, select the app whose cache you want to clear.
  • On the App info page, click Storage and click Clear cache.
  • Once the cache has been cleared, the Cache size will display 0 B, and the Clear cache button will be disabled.

Note: If you're having trouble downloading or updating apps, select Google Play Store and clear its cache. This often resolves download-related issues.

If clearing the cache doesn't resolve your issue, try restarting BlueStacks or clearing the app's storage (this will reset the app and remove its data).
