What is FPS and why is it important?
FPS (Frames per second) represents the number of frames (images) your monitor is displaying each second. The higher the FPS, the smoother and more responsive the game is. A higher FPS provides much smoother in-game animations, reduced screen tearing and also provides easier tracking of targets on-screen.
You can enhance your gameplay by modifying the following options from the BlueStacks Settings menu:
- Customize FPS: Set custom FPS by adjusting the slider
- Enable high frame rate: Activates frame rates higher than 60 for games that support it
- Enable VSync: Synchronizes in-game FPS to monitor's refresh rate to avoid screen tearing
- Display FPS during gameplay: Displays real-time FPS while playing
How can I do this?
1. Open the "Settings" menu by clicking on the gear icon on the Side toolbar.
2. In the "Performance" tab, you will find a slider under the "Frame rate" section. Simply drag the slider to set custom FPS.
3. You can also make changes in the following options given right below by clicking on the toggle button:
