Why should I clear an app's data?
If an app is crashing, freezing, running slowly, or failing to launch, clearing its data can often resolve the issue. App data may become corrupted due to:
- An unsuccessful app update
- Corrupted app files or settings
- Other app-specific issues
Clearing app data also clears the app's cache automatically, so you don't need to clear the cache separately.
Note: Clearing an app's data resets it to its default state and permanently deletes all locally stored data, including settings, preferences, login information, and offline progress. If your game or app is not linked to a cloud account (such as Google, Facebook, or another supported service), your local progress cannot be recovered.
How do I clear an app's data?
Launch BlueStacks 5 and open the System apps folder.
Click on Settings and select Apps.
From the list of installed apps, select the app whose data you want to clear.
On the App info page, click Storage and then click Clear storage.
When prompted, click OK to confirm.
Note: Once the app data has been cleared, the Data size will display 0 B, and the Clear storage button will be disabled until new app data is created.
If the issue persists after clearing the app's data, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, or restart BlueStacks before launching it again.
