How to change mouse sensitivity in shooting games on BlueStacks 5

How will this help?

This article will show you how to change the mouse sensitivity along the X-axis (Horizontal) and Y-axis (vertical) in your favorite shooting games on BlueStacks 5.

Increasing/decreasing the mouse sensitivity across the X and Y-axis will respectively increase/decrease the speed at which the camera pans, when you move your cursor in games such as Free Fire and Call of Duty: Mobile.


How can I change the mouse sensitivity?

You can change the mouse sensitivity from the:

Changing the mouse sensitivity from the Game controls menu.

1. Launch a game such as Free Fire and then left-click on the "Game controls" button from the side toolbar.

2. The Game controls menu will open. Here, you will find the "Mouse sensitivity" option.

3. Change the value of X and Y to increase/decrease the mouse sensitivity along the X and Y-axis, respectively. To do so, you can either use the arrows next to X and Y or type in the desired value.

NOTE: A larger value will increase the mouse sensitivity, and a smaller value will decrease it.

Changing the mouse sensitivity from the Controls Editor.

Mouse sensitivity across the X and Y-axis can be changed from the "Aim, pan and shoot" key control in the Controls Editor. The steps below, will show you how this can be done.

1. Launch any shooting game on BlueStacks 5. Then, right-click on the "Game controls" button to open the Controls Editor. In this example, we have launched Free Fire.

Alternatively, you can left-click on the "Game controls" button and select "Open advanced editor".

2. Now, locate the "Aim, pan and shoot" control, as shown below. To increase/decrease the mouse sensitivity, simply change the values for X and Y by clicking on the arrows available next to them. 

NOTE: A larger value will increase the mouse sensitivity, and a smaller value will decrease it.

3. You can also open the Advanced settings for the "Aim, pan and shoot" control to change the mouse sensitivity. To do so, either right-click on the control or click on the gear icon underneath it.

4. Within the Advanced settings for the "Aim, pan and shoot" control, you will find the following options:

  • Mouse sensitivity X: Here, enter a larger value to increase the mouse sensitivity along the X-axis, or enter a smaller one to decrease it.
  • Mouse sensitivity Y: Here, enter a larger value to increase the mouse sensitivity along the Y-axis, or enter a smaller one to decrease it.

5. Exit the Advanced settings by clicking on the X button, once you have made the desired changes.

6. Now, click on the "Save" button at the bottom-right corner. All changes made to the mouse sensitivity will be saved.
