How to delete a master instance on BlueStacks 5

How will this help?

You can save resources on your computer, such as disk space, by deleting one or more master instances of BlueStacks 5 that you do not wish to use anymore.

A master instance is the first instance of BlueStacks 5 created for every Android version. To be able to delete a master instance, you must have two or more Android versions installed on your BlueStacks 5. Otherwise, you will see a popup, as shown below.

How can I do it?

Make sure the master instance you wish to delete is not running. If it is running, first close it and then perform the steps below.

1. Open the Multi-instance Manager by clicking on its icon in the Side Toolbar.

2. On the Multi-instance Manager window, locate the master instance that you wish to delete and click on the "Delete" icon in front of it, as displayed below.

3. You will then be asked for a confirmation. Click on "Delete" to continue.

NOTEDeleting the master instance for an Android version will also delete all the instances for that Android version created on your BlueStacks 5.

The selected master instance and the associated instances will now be deleted.
