What are Smart Downloads?
Smart Downloads automatically installs games that are personalized to your interests, making it easier to discover and play new titles without having to search for them yourself.
When BlueStacks detects that your desktop/laptop has been inactive for a while, it can automatically download a game curated specifically for you in the background, without interrupting your experience.
Once installed, the game appears in the All apps section on the Home screen as well as in the dedicated Smart Downloads section, making it easy to find and start playing whenever you're ready.
How can I enable Smart Downloads?
You can enable Smart Downloads directly from the Home screen by following the steps below.
- Launch BlueStacks 5.
- Click the Smart Downloads tab on the Home screen.
- Click the Enable button.
Once enabled, BlueStacks will automatically install personalized game recommendations whenever your desktop/laptop has been inactive for a while.

Q. Will Smart Downloads interrupt my gameplay?
A. No. Smart Downloads only starts when BlueStacks is idle, no apps are running, and there has been no mouse or keyboard activity for a specific period of time.
Q. Will the downloaded game open automatically?
A. No. The game is installed in the background but is never launched automatically. After installation, you'll be asked whether you'd like to Play now or Later.
Q. Can I continue using BlueStacks after the download finishes?
A. Yes. Simply select Later on the post-download screen, and you can continue using BlueStacks as usual.
Q. How can I disable Smart Downloads?
A. You can disable Smart Downloads at any time from BlueStacks Settings. Simply open Settings, go to the Preferences tab, and turn off the Smart Downloads toggle.
Note: Disabling Smart Downloads only prevents future automatic downloads. Games that were previously installed through Smart Downloads will remain installed and can be uninstalled like any other app.
