You now have the ability to change mouse speed along the Y-axis for vertical movement and along the X-axis for horizontal movement on BlueStacks. This detailed guide will tell you all about how to do it with ease on BlueStacks 4.250 and above.
Increasing/decreasing the mouse sensitivity will respectively increase/decrease the speed at which the camera will move when you move your cursor vertically. This comes in handy especially in shooting games, such as Free Fire and Call of Duty: Mobile.
Steps to change it on BlueStacks
There are three ways to change mouse sensitivity while playing on BlueStacks:
Changing mouse sensitivity through the Controls editor
1. Launch your favorite game on BlueStacks by clicking on its icon. For representation purposes, let's play Free Fire.
2. Now, click on the Game controls icon on the side toolbar, as shown below.
3. From the dropdown menu, select Open advanced editor. This will open the Controls editor window.
4. Locate the button for Aim, pan and shoot, as shown below. To change the mouse sensitivity, simply change the values for X and Y by clicking on the arrows available next to them.
5. You may also change the sensitivity by right-clicking on the Aim, pan and shoot control. This will open additional settings.
Here, you will see the option for Mouse sensitivity X and Y. To change the sensitivity along the Y-axis or for vertical movement, simply click on the box next to this option and enter a value of your choice.
Similarly, for changing the mouse sensitivity along the X-axis or for horizontal movement, enter a value in the box next to it.
6. To save these changes, close Pan settings by clicking on X, as shown below.
7. Now, click on Save at the lower right corner.
Changing mouse sensitivity through Game settings
1. Launch your favorite game on BlueStacks by clicking on its icon. For representation purposes, let's play Free Fire.
2. Now, click on the gear icon on the side toolbar, as shown below. This will open the Game settings window.
3. On this window, you will see the Mouse sensitivity option with two boxes in front of it - one for X-axis and the other for Y-axis. To change sensitivity:
- Simply click on the box next to X-axis (for horizontal movement) or Y-axis (for vertical movement) and type a value of your choice.
- You may also change the values by clicking on the arrows to increase or decrease the inserted value.
4. Click on Save for the changes to take place.
Changing mouse sensitivity through the Game guide
1. Launch your favorite game on BlueStacks by clicking on its icon. For representation purposes, let's play Free Fire.
2. For most of the games, including Free Fire, the Game guide window will automatically open when the game launches, as shown below. If it is not open, please read step 3.
3. Click on the Game guide icon on the side toolbar to access the Game guide, as shown below. If the Game guide is already open by default, please skip this step and move on to step 4.
4. Click on the Edit button at the bottom right corner, as shown in the image.
5. Under the section Basic controls, you will see the columns for Mouse sensitivity X and Y. To change the mouse sensitivity:
- Simply click on the box next to Mouse sensitivity X (for horizontal movement) or Mouse sensitivity Y (for vertical movement) and type a value of your choice.
- You may also change the values by clicking on the arrows to increase or decrease the inserted value.
6. Click on Save for the changes to take place.
