How to zoom in and zoom out precisely on BlueStacks 4

How will this help?

This detailed article will guide on how to use the zoom function with precision on BlueStacks.

This feature is very useful in strategy games like Rise of Kingdoms and State of Survival, where keeping an eye on the smallest of details on the map can make a huge difference to your in-game progress.

How can I zoom in/zoom out on BlueStacks?

There are two ways to use the zoom function on BlueStacks:

Zoom with precision to any point on the screen

This type of zoom lets you zoom in at a particular point on the game screen, based on where your cursor or mouse pointer is currently located.

Watch the video below to know how to use it.

Please follow the steps below to use this feature efficiently:

1. Launch your favorite strategy game on BlueStacks. For presentation purposes, let's play Rise of Kingdoms.

2. Once the game starts, place your cursor or mouse pointer at the point where you wish to zoom in. Now, press and hold the CTRL key and scroll your mouse wheel. These key controls cannot be changed.

Scrolling the mouse wheel downwards will zoom in, with your cursor as the point of focus. Scrolling the mouse wheel upwards will zoom out, with your cursor as the point of focus.

The two images below show how zoom-in and zoom-out keep your cursor (marked inside the red box) as the focus of the zoom function.

Zoom to the center of the screen

This type of zoom simply zooms in or out, with the focus on the center of the screen. It may be used to get a better view of the entire screen in general and not to zoom in on any specific areas on the game screen. To do so, please follow the steps below.

1. Launch your favorite strategy game on BlueStacks. For presentation purposes, let's play Rise of Kingdoms.

2. Once the game starts, press the UP key to zoom in to the center of the screen or press the DOWN key to zoom out on the center of the screen.

The two images below show how zoom-in and zoom-out keep the center of the screen as the focus of the zoom function.

The key controls for zoom can be viewed or edited at any time while playing your favorite game.

Here's how you can do it:

1. Launch your favorite strategy game on BlueStacks. For presentation purposes, let's play Rise of Kingdoms.

2. Once the game starts, click on the game guide icon on the side toolbar, as shown below.

3. This will open the Game guide window next to the BlueStacks app player. Here, scroll down to locate the Zoom section, as shown below. This section lets you view the existing key controls for the zoom feature.

4. To edit these controls, click on the Edit button, available at the bottom right corner.

NOTE: You can only edit the key controls for zooming in or out to the center of the screen. Mouse controls for precision zoom cannot be edited.
