Solution for BlueStacks failing to boot or install due to outdated GPU drivers

How can I resolve this?

If you are experiencing issues while installing or launching BlueStacks 5 or BlueStacks X, it may be because your GPU (graphics card) drivers are outdated. To resolve this, simply do the following:

• Update your GPU drivers
• Scan and repair corrupt files
• Install Windows updates

How can I do this?

1. Update the GPU drivers

• Intel
• AMD
• NVIDIA

Intel GPU

• Head over to the official support page for Intel and click on "Download now".
• Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the assistant.
• Once the installation is complete, launch the Intel driver assistant to see the list of available updates.
• Click on "Download" next to the driver that you wish to install or select "Download All".

NOTE: If you do not see any updates available, you may also check the official support page of your computer's manufacturer for the latest updates.

AMD GPU

• Visit the official support page for AMD and click on "Download Now" 
• Launch the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
• All the drivers on your computer will be updated automatically.

NVIDIA GPU

• Search for "GeForce Experience" on your taskbar and open the app from the search results.
• Click on the "Drivers" tab at the top-left corner and select "Check for updates".
• All available driver updates for your NVIDIA GPU will be listed under "Available".
• Click on the "Download" button in front of a driver to install it.

2. Scan for and repair corrupt files

• Search for "Command prompt" on your taskbar and select "Run as administrator".
• Type "sfc/scannow" and press "Enter" to initiate a system scan for corrupt files.
• Once it is done, you will get a message stating that corrupt files have been found and repaired. 

3. Install the latest updates for Windows 

• Search for "updates" on your taskbar and select "Check for updates" from the search results.
• On the Windows Update page, click on "Check for updates" to initiate a scan.
• Once the scan is complete, you will see the list of available updates that you may install.
